Week Four
Reflecting on this week, I feel like I’ve gained valuable insights into the HR department. While my focus in weeks 2 and 3 was mainly marketing-oriented, I dedicated most of last week to setting up the intern website. This week I had less marketing-focused work than usual, so I thought it would be a good time to get comfortable with tickets. Although I’ve shadowed team members during ticket work, my goal early this week was to gain confidence in sorting tickets independently. I scheduled time with some team members and shadowed them more closely. Yolanda helped me tremendously by answering my questions and reviewing tickets with me, which boosted my confidence in handling tickets on my own. I love the way our team operates because even when something feels intimidating or confusing, there is always someone there who's happy to help.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to work with Steve a couple of times this week and began planning for the upcoming shoot in late July. He’s encouraging me to take control of the planning process, including selecting guests, sending invitations, and crafting scripts, which I’m really excited about.
I'm so grateful for this opportunity because it will not only be a great project management experience, but also lots of fun. I’m actively working on securing guest bookings, and Im looking forward to the event! I also spent some time this week working on the intern blog and coming up with some ideas for future posts. Overall, week four was a success!
