Week Three

As we wrap up our third week at Moss Consulting, I continue to be impressed by the level of care and intentionality that goes into everything the team does. One of the biggest takeaways from this week was seeing firsthand the company’s strong attention to detail. From the thoughtfully planned intern program that was created for the first time this summer to the time and effort invested in our training, it is clear that Moss is committed to setting employees up for success. Every process, resource, and learning opportunity has been carefully designed to ensure that we gain meaningful experience and a better understanding of the work being done across the organization.

One experience that stood out this week was spending time learning various systems and platforms used  throughout the company. Nyah, Hannah, and Yoli dedicated hours to walking us through programs such as Paylocity, HubSpot, QuickBooks, and other essential tools. What impressed me most was not only their knowledge of these systems but also their patience and willingness to answer every question along the way. No matter how detailed the topic or how many follow-up questions we had, they took the time to ensure we fully understood each process before moving on.

These experiences highlighted something that has become increasingly evident throughout my internship. Moss genuinely values learning and development. The team does not simply explain how to complete a task and move on. Instead, they invest the time necessary to make sure employees understand the reasoning behind processes and feel confident applying what they have learned independently. That level of patience and dedication creates an environment where growth feels encouraged rather than rushed.

Concluding thoughts...

As I continue my internship, I am more and more appreciative of the people who make Moss such a supportive place to learn. The attention to detail demonstrated by every member of the team, combined with their willingness to share knowledge and mentor others, has made a lasting impression on me. I look forward to continuing to build my skills, expand my understanding of the HR consulting industry, and learn from the talented and bright individuals around me.
